Avoiding High Cholesterol Foods

High cholesterol foods are bad for one’s body. Cholesterol is fats in our bloodstream. The liver produces cholesterol, which is good for the body. Though, we also get it from the food we eat. Cholesterol is essential for us humans however, it should only be in a certain level or else it will cause havoc with one’s health.

Here’s what you need to do:

- You have to put limitations in eating foods that contain high cholesterol. These includes but not limited to eggs, brains, heart, livers, kidneys, desserts and those foods that are high in fat.

- Avoid frying your food instead you can bake or broil it. Frying can heighten cholesterol count.

- If you’re eating animal meat like pork and beef, remove all visible fats before you cook it. Do it before cooking it, rather than removing the fats once you have cooked it.  It would be futile because the cholesterol will soak and coat the meat while you’re cooking it. It’s healthy that way.

- If whole eggs are to be mixed together with other ingredients, you can leave the yolk and just use white eggs.

- For dairy products, use 0-fat free. Eat whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and lean meat to cut on cholesterol intake.

- Make it a habit to eat high fiber food to keep cholesterol in your body low. Soluble fiber is good for your body. You can eat oranges, apples, pears, oats and carrots.

- Avoid drinking lots of coffee. It can elevate the cholesterol levels in your blood.

Exercise can lower cholesterol. Doing so can provide great benefits to your body. It is essential to fight against bad cholesterol, heart diseases, and other body ailments or illnesses. If you are wondering how long it takes to lower down your body’s cholesterol if you are going to exercise regularly? Studies show it can be lowered down to five to ten percent. 

You can do aerobics, swimming, jogging, walking and running. There are a lot of ways to exercise. You can play badminton or tennis and it still gives the same results as going to the gym to exercise. So, start eating healthy and do healthy things that will be a great start in becoming a happier and heathier you.
